Passionate about growing good food!

Nestled in the Pennine Hills, Lower Whitegate Farm has been home for three generations of my family. Local farming knowledge and expertise gathered over the years has been handed down and is put to good use today when caring for our animals, farmland and environment. The livestock breeds we rear have been carefully chosen to suit our farm. Aberdeen Angus and Dexter beef cattle are small hardy animals and Ll yen ewes are excellent upland grazing sheep, quiet in nature and renowned for looking after their lambs well. Farming is a lifestyle we are passionate about and in 2007 we began selling our farm produce at local farmer's markets. In 2010 we were voted local food producer of the year and in 2012 our farm became self sufficient, powered by our wind turbine. Coddy's Farm beef, lamb and pork has been reared by us, on our family farm. If you would like to know more, ask the farmer selling our produce.
